Every day there is a new magical workout or machine that is supposed to make weight loss easier. They all promise the same thing: more weight loss with less work. We all know that these are gimmicks and that weight loss is not easy. It takes work, but if you put in the effort you will lose weight. One of the age old weight loss routines that are overlooked is running. You can lose weight by running pretty easily.
Now maybe you have not been running in years. If that is the case start out slow. Make it a goal to run a half of a mile in the beginning. If you are really out of shape you can even start with a quarter mile. As time goes on you can just start building up your stamina. You will lose weight by running I promise you. The biggest factor is consistently. When I was in high school I lost over 20 pound in a few months by running a couple of miles a day. It takes a while to work up to running miles, but if you are consistent you will see that it does get easy.
One of the big tips I can give you about running is to get good shoes. I am talking about spending at least $100 on a pair. Go to a running store and tell them you are looking to lose weight by running. They will look at the way you run and pick out the best shoe for you as far as feel and running style. I prefer to run over most other types of exercise. It is a great way to lose the pounds and a great stress reliever as well.
